Set up a Passkey for Family Portal Login

Set up a passkey to log in to your FACTS Family Portal account

You may see a prompt to set up a passkey when you first create your account, when you sign in, or after recovering your account. A passkey lets you sign in to your Family Portal account using your device's fingerprint, face scan, or PIN instead of typing a username, password, and MFA code. Passkey sign-in is optional, and once it's set up, signing in only takes one step.

Set up a passkey as a new user creating an account
  1. Navigate to FACTSmgt.com, then click Family Portal Login.
  2. Type your school’s District Code, and click Create Account.
  3. Type your email and click Create Account.
  4. Open the email and click Register. 
  5. Complete your account setup.
  6. When the prompt appears, click Set up passkey.
  7. Follow the prompts on your device to add a passkey to your account.
  8. Confirm your identity using your device's fingerprint, face scan, or PIN.
Set up a passkey as an existing user after logging in 
  1. Navigate to FACTSmgt.com, click Family Portal Login, type your school’s District Code, and click Next.
  2. Type your Email or Username, then click Continue.
  3. Type your Password, then click Sign in.
  4. Type your Verification code, then click Verify.
  5. When the prompt displays, click Set up passkey.
  6. Follow the prompts on your device to add a passkey to your account.
  7. Confirm your identity using your device's fingerprint, face scan, or PIN.
Note

If you're not ready, click Remind me later to see the prompt again in 30 days, or click Don't ask again to stop seeing passkey prompts. You may still set up a passkey at any time in My Profile.

Set up a passkey from My Profile in Family Portal

If you dismissed the prompt to set up a passkey or want to add one for another device, you may set one up in your account.

  1. Once logged in to Family Portal, click your initials in the upper right corner.
  2. Click My Profile.
  3. In the account security section, click Add passkey.
  4. Follow the prompts on your device to add a passkey to your account.
  5. Confirm your identity using your device's fingerprint, face scan, or PIN.

Manage your Family Portal passkeys

From the account security section of My Profile, you can manage the passkeys on your account. You can also see the date each passkey was added.

  1. Once logged in to Family Portal, click your initials in the upper right corner.
  2. Click My Profile.
  3. Locate the Account Security section.
  4. Click Edit name to rename a passkey. For example, naming it Desktop or Phone to tell devices apart.
    OR
    Click Remove to delete a passkey you no longer use, such as one tied to a lost device.

Sign in to Family Portal with a passkey

Once a passkey is set up, sign in with it using your device's fingerprint, face scan, or PIN; no username, password, or MFA code is needed.

  1. Navigate to FACTSmgt.com, click Family Portal Login, type your school’s District Code, and click Next.
  2. Click Sign in with a passkey.
  3. Confirm your identity using your device's fingerprint, face scan, or PIN.
Note

If you sign in with your username and password instead, you'll be prompted to use a verification code as usual.
