ADNY End of Term Steps

Purpose
Learn how to update system default terms, gradebook editing and report card editing terms, and Family Portal default terms for the Archdiocese of New York.

Overview

School administrators with the Archdiocese of New York update term settings in FACTS SIS at the end of each academic term to ensure gradebooks and report cards reflect the correct term. By adjusting these settings, administrators prevent teachers from editing grades for completed terms and display accurate information to families in the portal. Before making changes, administrators review the terms to close and select new defaults for gradebooks, report cards, and schedules. The configuration screens allow administrators to quickly select and save the appropriate terms, streamlining the transition to the next academic period.
